Profile Settings

Access your profile at Settings (click your avatar → Settings).

Update Display Name

Change your display name in the Profile section. This name is shown in the dashboard and team features.

Update Avatar

Upload a custom avatar image:

  • Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP
  • Maximum size: 2 MB
  • Recommended dimensions: 256×256 px

Sign-in

The dashboard and CLI use GitHub OAuth. When you sign in, you authorize with GitHub in the browser; there is no separate Google or email magic-link login in the product today.

Use Settings for profile details and billing-related contact preferences.

Subscription Management

View Current Plan

Your current plan and usage are displayed in SettingsSubscription:

  • Plan name and status
  • Current usage (endpoints created, daily requests)
  • Billing cycle and renewal date
  • Billing portal access

Upgrade

  1. Go to SettingsSubscription or visit the Pricing page.
  2. Select a plan and billing cycle (monthly or yearly).
  3. For a first-time Plus purchase, complete checkout through our payment provider.
  4. After payment completes, your account is upgraded to Plus.

Switch from Monthly to Yearly

If you already have Plus Monthly and switch to Plus Yearly:

  • The app first shows a confirmation message so you can review how billing works.
  • This updates your current subscription instead of creating a second one.
  • The unused value of your current monthly period is credited automatically.
  • The prorated yearly difference is charged immediately.
  • After payment completes, your subscription details usually update to the yearly billing period shortly afterward.

Manage Billing

Click Manage Subscription in Settings to access the billing portal where you can:

  • Update payment method
  • View invoices
  • Cancel or change your plan

Cancel Subscription

When you cancel:

  • You keep your paid features until the end of the current billing period.
  • After the period ends, your account is downgraded to the Free plan.
  • Endpoints beyond the Free limit are not deleted but become read-only.

Refunds

If a subscription payment is refunded:

  • The paid subscription access ends immediately.
  • Your account returns to the Free plan as soon as the refund is processed.
  • This is different from a normal cancellation, which stays active until the end of the current billing period.

Duplicate purchases

If you already have an active subscription for the same plan and billing cycle, HookNexus blocks duplicate purchases to avoid duplicate charges.

If a canceled monthly subscription is still active until period end

If your monthly subscription is already set to cancel at period end, and that period has not ended yet:

  • You keep paid access until the current period ends.
  • You cannot buy the same monthly plan again.
  • You also cannot switch that pending-cancel monthly subscription directly to yearly.

Resume the subscription in the billing portal first, or wait until it expires and then subscribe again.

Usage Dashboard

The Settings page shows your current resource usage:

When you approach a limit, a banner appears in the dashboard with a link to upgrade.

Delete Account

To delete your account, contact [email protected]. Account deletion removes:

  • All endpoints and request history
  • All API keys
  • All linked accounts and session data
  • Subscription is canceled immediately
